Veronica Ramos, born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico, is the Practice Administrator for Advanced Heart and Vascular Center of New Mexico . Started working in healthcare in 2013 as a registrar at the local hospital transitioned to a billing/collection specialist for a hospital in Las Cruces, NM. She made the transition back to Carlsbad as an insurance verification clerk to a medical assistant at Dr. Ryan’s cardiology office. Through personal and professional growth, investing in educational opportunities including becoming proficient at all aspects within the clinic she maintained her role as office manager with the emphasis of supporting Dr. Ryan's goals when it comes to patient care. I am motivated by breaking down limitations, following her dreams, and working hard to achieve goals. Instilling the internal drive to live life to the most and living each day to the best you can and motivating others. She enjoys her time as a wife, mother of two, community involvement with CNMYSL as her daughter’s soccer coach. In my role as Practice Administrator with Advanced Heart and Vascular Center of New Mexico , we are working to provide the patients of Southeastern New Mexico with top cardiovascular care and I am honored to be a part of this leading project.

Summer Gonzales was born and raised in New Mexico and has always been a bright student. She started in healthcare in 2018 as a receptionist and then later progressed to her role as Medical Scribe and Clinical Coordinator for Dr. Amanda Ryan. She has hurdled through many obstacles in life to achieve not only her Medical Scribe certification but her Medical Assistant Certification through determination and diligence. Family-oriented, caring, and motivated; she spends her time improving herself through educational opportunities, focuses on helping others such as her family and friends, and enjoys spending time with her niece and her dog Tina. She understands firsthand that our community needs quality cardiovascular care and she is excited to be Clinical Coordinator/ Medical Scribe at Advanced Heart and Vascular Center of New Mexico .

Quickly assessing a work situation for knowledge gaps – both personal and system-wide is a strength that has developed over many years working in the Brevard County School system. As a bright youth from a disadvantaged neighborhood, going to college was definitely part of my dreams and I became a first-generation college graduate with my Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Organizational Studies. I was raised primarily by my hard-working loving grandparents and now have the opportunity to help care for them in their later years as they did for my sister and me over the years. My first, and until now only, position post-college has been at an alternative school assisting students with unique challenges. The bonds formed and individual and school-wide growth have been amazing to participate in. My administrative roles within the school system have varied widely and created a foundation for this next challenge. Over the past two years, I have studied additional information technology material along with healthcare billing/coding courses in preparation to join Advanced Heart And Vascular Center of New Mexico . As an administrative member of Dr. Amanda Ryan’s team, I will help achieve the goal of creating an innovative, state-of-the-art cardiovascular practice and facility in rural Eddy County.

Life takes you on unexpected journeys and roads that can be bumpy. My greatest joy in this world comes from my role as a mother to four unique, bright children – Adriauna, a freshman in college; Jaelyn, a senior in high school; D.J., an 8th grader; and Harper, a 3rd grader. They are loving, talented, and tightly bonded to each other. My career started in healthcare with a long-term position in health information management at a local hospital. I also owned a successful family pizza business while raising my family which taught me a tremendous amount about everything from payroll to HR to customer service. In the past several years, I have grown with an expanding roofing company focusing on collections and accounts payable. Dr. Amanda Ryan and I became acquainted years ago at our mutual Florida hospital and have become close confidantes. I am honored to participate in building and expanding Advanced Heart And Vascular Center of New Mexico which will provide a patient-centered unique healthcare experience for the citizens of Eddy County.

I went to college at an HBCU like my older brother and my sister, as my father and his siblings had; although I focused on athletics during high school and was unsure of my future course. An injury ended my college football plans and I went on to complete my degree in elementary education. Educating children brought me joy, however, something wasn’t the best fit – I needed to work with my hands. I literally started at the bottom – in underground pipe laying and construction and worked hard mentally and physically for 15 years to build and understand all levels of building projects. Dr. Amanda Ryan and I have been friends for a long time and our lives really connected when we started dating in 2019. We were bonded by common interests including our nephews’ sports careers, commitment to family, and dedication to professional endeavors. The loss of my father and the need to help my daughters with virtual school, along with Amanda and my decision to spend our lives together, led me to this new path. I am proud to participate with Dr. Ryan in building an alternative infrastructure for healthcare in Carlsbad and Eddy County while raising our daughters Imaya and Neo in a unique blended family from Florida to New Mexico.

Hello, my name is Nancy Morales and I am a certified medical assistant currently working on my Registered Nursing (RN) degree. I have a passion for healthcare for the simple fact that we get to help others during their most vulnerable, even life-saving moments. I am happily married to Aaron Morales for eleven years and through our union which includes three beautiful children Sureya, Jacob, and Jared. They are my motivation to become the best version of myself. I am excited to be part of this new project with Advanced Heart And Vascular Center of New Mexico as Dr. Ryan and our great team bring advanced cardiac care to the community of Carlsbad, NM.
